I can’t believe it’s already time for the first WWW Wednesday of July! This meme was originally hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and has been revived by Sam A. Stevens at Taking On a World of Words. To participate, just answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading:
I am currently buddy reading Ice Like Fire, book 2 in the Frost Like Ashes series by Sara Raasch. I’ve been super busy so I’ve only just begun, but I’m hoping to reach page 100 before I go to bed. If you enjoy YA fantasy, I highly recommend the first book.
I’ve started Master of the Broken Watches by Razi Iman, a thrilling new sci-fi adventure for review. I’m not very far into it yet either, but you can expect a review within the next week.
I’m also listening to ACOMAF… again. This is probably my 4th reread of it. Honestly, I ran out of Audible credits and just picked something from my library to fill up my commute while I wait for my account to renew. Want to know a secret? I always skip to Chapter 5 in my rereads cause I don’t care at all about Tamlin!
Recently Finished:
Before I started my reread of ACOMAF, I had finished Bone Crier’s Moon on audio. By the end of this book I was in love. It took me a while to get invested in any of the 3 main characters, but I’m very eager to see where the story goes in book 2. Have you read this one yet?
I also recently finished The Dividing by Devin Downing. You can find my review here. This was a review read that pleasantly surprised me. If you’re interested in fantasy or magical realism and love to support indie/self-published authors, I highly recommend it.
Reading Next:
Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty will be my next audiobook. I’ve read the rest of the series on audio and really enjoy the narrations. I can’t wait to return to Daevabad and see what happens with Nahri, Dara, and Ali. Did you know this series started as a gender-bent retelling of Aladdin?
I’ll also be starting The Midnight Bargain by C. L. Polk for review. This is a sweeping, romantic adult fantasy set in a world reminiscent of Regency England, where women’s magic is taken from them when they marry. A sorceress must balance her desire to become the first great female magician against her duty to her family. This is indie novel being published by Erewhon Books in October.
I’d love to know your thoughts if you’ve read any of the books listed above! If not, let me know what you’re reading in the comments!
I so need to read the Frost Like Ashes series still! It’s been on my TBR since … pfft, forever. Glad you’re enjoying it. I haven’t read Bone Crier’s Moon yet, but I’m really looking forward to it, so I’m excited that you loved it! Have you seen the cover for the sequel yet? It’s absolutely freaking gorgeous!
Here’s my WWW post.
I didn’t see the cover yet, but now I’m going to Google it. I absolutely love Charlie Bowater’s artwork!
That cover for The Midnight Bargain is beautiful!!!

The cover definitely sold me!
I love your picks! I also love how you skip to chapter 5 in ACOMAF rereads 😂 I’ve only read ACOTAR once but I’m considering a re-read. Happy reading!
Haha thanks! It’s definitely better skipping Tamlin in that one.
I recently bought Bone Criers Moon and I hope to pick it up soon!
