Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) is a meme that was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. You can find a schedule of upcoming TTT topics on her blog!

This weeks topic: Authors I’ve Read the Most Books By.

This is an interesting topic because typically I look at my books and see what authors I own the most books by. However, due to owning multiple editions of some of my favorite books, this doesn’t always align with my most read. So, here are my Top 10 most read:

Disclaimer: this list does not include authors I’ve only read before the age of 18 (R.L. Stine, Francine Pascal, Lurlene McDaniel, Roald Dahl, etc.). There are two authors included that I read in my early teen years, but that either followed me through adulthood or have been reread since. In the event of a tie, I went by length of books.

10. V.E. Schwab – 6 books

9. Leigh Bardugo – 6 books

8. Dan Brown – 6 books

7. J.K. Rowling – 7 books

6. Anne Rice – 7 books

5. Eoin Colfer- 10 books

4. Karen Marie Moning – 10 books

3. Cassandra Clare – 10 books

2. Charlaine Harris – 13 books

1. Sarah J Maas – 13 books

There’s a whole lot of fantasy on that list! Are any of these authors on your top 10? Feel free to drop the link to your TTT or tell me your most read authors in the comments below!

  1. Nice list! I’ve read books by Rowling (only the HP series), Gabaldon (I loved OUTLANDER but never continued with the series for some reason), and Brown (most of the Robert Langdon books). Oh, I also binge-read the first few Mortal Instruments books. I haven’t read anything from your other authors. It’s always amazing to see how much we’ve read and how much we haven’t, isn’t it?

    Happy TTT!

    1. So true! I know if I read all the books on my shelves there would be some other authors gracing this list.

    1. Yes! I love Schwab. I’m really looking forward to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue!

  2. Great list! It’s funny seeing your mention of Lurlene McDaniel — my daughter devoured her books for a while. 🙂 I’ve read a lot of Anne Rice as well, and all of the Sookie Stackhouse books, so a bunch of CHarlaine Harris too!

    1. I read a lot of Lurlene McDaniel in middle school until one of my English teachers asked why I read such depressing books. I just thought they were uplifting.
